Common Questions
How do I apply for a WAKI fellowship?
Applications open annually. You can apply via the Programs page or by filling in the contact form, selecting 'Programs & Applications' as the subject. Our team will send you the application package within 48 hours.
How are donations used?
Donations fund three core areas: scholarships for students (40%), fellowship placements and program delivery (35%), and construction and maintenance of the Institute's physical facilities (25%). We publish annual financial reports.
Can I volunteer remotely?
Yes. Many of our volunteer roles — including content writing, social media, research, and IT support — can be carried out fully remotely from anywhere in the world. We coordinate via email and regular virtual calls.
What types of organisations can partner with WAKI?
We welcome partnerships with universities, corporations, NGOs, government agencies, foundations, and international organisations. Partnerships can be programmatic, financial, or in-kind.
Is the WAKI Institute a registered organisation?
